My newborn son - Ashton

Ashton's 1st moment to this world
It was the happiest day for both myself and my wife - Adeline on 22nd July 2006 at almost midnite. After more than 16hrs in SGH, he was finally born.
I still remembered that Saturday mroning so vividly. I had just parked my car illegally near the Ubi driving centre, reporting for my scheduled driving lessons for the day when my phone rang and my wife telling me that her water had burst. Well just like her I was stunned for a moment upon hearing the news, I literally sat in my car till I realised that I must call up the driving centre ops room that I can't teach for the day. As I was rushing back home, I called my mum for last minute instructions as to what to do, everything was such a blur then. When I got home, we just packed and rushed to the hospital, luckily the morning traffic was quite kind to us and didn't gave us much problem. As it was still the SARs period then, we had to take temperature and even put on a face mask. However as my wife has yet dilated enough thus we won't admitted yet and going home wasn't a good option so we literally hang around at SGH till late afternoon. So, we had our breakfast, lunch and even dinner there. Guess the nurses really took pity on me as my wife didn't allow me to go buy dinner, so dinner was biscuits and Milo only.
When it was finally time for Ashton to be delivered, it was fairly quick, fortunately I didn't pass out when he came out but my wife was too scared to look at him before he was cleaned up. He was already quite a fiesty bugger then so I guess it wasn't much of a big surprise for us for the past 4 years when he was growing up.

Time really flies, it was also right after he was born not long that I decided to leave SPH - a job which I held for almost ten years. It has been 4 years already since I left. People was laughing at me for giving up the much awaited bonuses and also a job that is so easy to do and routine. I guess for me once a job loses its challenges and excitement then it no longer appeals to me anymore not even the monies. I still cherish those moments, experiences and knowledge that I picked up along the way. Of course the friendships too. But life is short, you win some and you lose some, I always believed in seizing the day and live life to the fullest.
My boy - Ashton is the centre of my life now, to me nothing beats watching him grow up day by day.

I had my moments, time to cherish them and move on to a new pasture and create more exciting and memorable moments. So if we are fated to meet and our paths crossed along the way, say Hi and pat each other on the back for a job well done in being who we are and being the best in whatever we are doing now. I certainly hope that I had brought laughter, happiness, knowledge, wisdom and many many more to those that I know. May your future days be forever bright and happy. :)
