My newborn son - Ashton

Ashton's 1st moment to this world
It was the happiest day for both myself and my wife - Adeline on 22nd July 2006 at almost midnite. After more than 16hrs in SGH, he was finally born.
I still remembered that Saturday mroning so vividly. I had just parked my car illegally near the Ubi driving centre, reporting for my scheduled driving lessons for the day when my phone rang and my wife telling me that her water had burst. Well just like her I was stunned for a moment upon hearing the news, I literally sat in my car till I realised that I must call up the driving centre ops room that I can't teach for the day. As I was rushing back home, I called my mum for last minute instructions as to what to do, everything was such a blur then. When I got home, we just packed and rushed to the hospital, luckily the morning traffic was quite kind to us and didn't gave us much problem. As it was still the SARs period then, we had to take temperature and even put on a face mask. However as my wife has yet dilated enough thus we won't admitted yet and going home wasn't a good option so we literally hang around at SGH till late afternoon. So, we had our breakfast, lunch and even dinner there. Guess the nurses really took pity on me as my wife didn't allow me to go buy dinner, so dinner was biscuits and Milo only.
When it was finally time for Ashton to be delivered, it was fairly quick, fortunately I didn't pass out when he came out but my wife was too scared to look at him before he was cleaned up. He was already quite a fiesty bugger then so I guess it wasn't much of a big surprise for us for the past 4 years when he was growing up.

Time really flies, it was also right after he was born not long that I decided to leave SPH - a job which I held for almost ten years. It has been 4 years already since I left. People was laughing at me for giving up the much awaited bonuses and also a job that is so easy to do and routine. I guess for me once a job loses its challenges and excitement then it no longer appeals to me anymore not even the monies. I still cherish those moments, experiences and knowledge that I picked up along the way. Of course the friendships too. But life is short, you win some and you lose some, I always believed in seizing the day and live life to the fullest.
My boy - Ashton is the centre of my life now, to me nothing beats watching him grow up day by day.

I had my moments, time to cherish them and move on to a new pasture and create more exciting and memorable moments. So if we are fated to meet and our paths crossed along the way, say Hi and pat each other on the back for a job well done in being who we are and being the best in whatever we are doing now. I certainly hope that I had brought laughter, happiness, knowledge, wisdom and many many more to those that I know. May your future days be forever bright and happy. :)

My Youngest Brother's Wedding on 27th Sept '10

The Bridal Chariot

The newly wed offering tea to the ancestors

The date was 27th Sept 2010 - Monday, 0930hrs, a bright and not so early Monday morning while many had their Monday blues, my youngest brother - Andy and his galfriend - Eileen of many years chose to get married on this day.

It was quite nerve racking for the family as the inital choice of bridal car wasn't available a week prior to the wedding and the hunt was on for a substitute - a Audi Q5, Volvo S60, VW Passat CC, Nissan Cefiro and the groom even wanted to use his own Honda Jazz - OMG! Luckily he was able to pull it off with a loan BMW 3 Series Coup with a beautiful golden number of 8383.

My Parents starting off the tea ceremony
It was a quiet affair as it was a working day for many, so the tea ceremony was very much attended by only close family relatives and friends only. Nonetheless, my mum's karaoke kaki turned out in full force to whip up a sumptous buffet spread of ngo hiang, fish balls, curry chicken, fried mee sua, kueh kueh and desserts too. Yum Yum...
That's my boy - Ashton, all dress up for the wedding banquet too, who is still very shy throughout the whole day due to seeing many unfamilar faces and was even reluctant to open the bridal car door that morning. Luckily we had a backup plan if not the bride would have problem getting out of the car already. Despite being such a talkative and mischevious in his daily routine, he is actually quite a timid kid. I guess that's why people say, God is Fair lah. *LOL.

The solemnisation ceremony at the Hotel
The Solemnisation Ceremony and the wedding banquet were held at the Orchard Hotel. Interestingly despite my younger brother and his galfriend being quite close to the Justice of Peace (JP) on a personal level, they didn't took the advantage to get hitch first, what an irony right? Perhaps next year guys?
Anyway, for the benefit of my parents, the ceremony was conducted in Mandarin which many of us was surprised that my brother could speak quite fluent Mandarin seriously despite working around Ang Mohs most of the time.

Well as you can see that I didn't managed to take much pictures during the dinner as we were all busy entertaining guests. Besides, my camera on my E71 phone sucks at low light conditions so even if did take, don't think the photos will turn out well though.

Though it was a tiring affair for all of us especially my parents whom have been busy a couple of weeks before the wedding day but seeing the smiles on everyones' faces and catching up with many old relatives, friends and making it a truly joyous occasion for my brother - Andy and his lovely wife was well worth it.

So to Andy and Eileen, congrats once again and we wish both of you everlasting happiness. Cheers!

The family heirloom making its appearance at my brother's wedding today

This tea set have been handed down from generations since my grandparents time, till my parents and then at my wedding too. Today once again it was put into service for my youngest brother's wedding as part of our family tradition. I certainly hope it will be carried on for many generations to come and hopefully put into action again at my younger brother's wedding soon. Well despite the anxiety of my folks to get him to marry his long time galfriend, he doesn't seems to be too bothered. Well just hope that he can just take the plunge and fulfilled my parents' wishes soon.

Stay tune for more snapshots on my youngest brother's wedding today. Ciao!

An event that I will missed dearly but not becos of the excitement or race but...

This is one event this year that I missed very much and is rather closed to my heart not just becos of the race and the adrenalin itself or even the excitement. But rather the friendship and camderie which I have formed with the Sales team from my previous company. And also not forgeting the many new friends which I have made for the past two years since the SingTel Singapore GP started in 2008. This year having to watch the race from the comfort of my home seems to lost much of the meaning eventhough my favorite team Ferrari had won. I missed those hard fought moments in clinching every sale and the challenge of hitting those sales targets at the F1 village.
Pardon me for being some emo about it but I guess that's how strongly I have bonded with the team. I hope all of them did alright this year and I had taught them well. If given a chance or choice again, I will slug it out again with them that's for sure. So to the team, thank you for your support for the past 2 years and wish all of you the best whereever whatever you are doing now. Cheers!

This is still a Work In Progress - WIP

Hi all,
this blog site is still very much a work in progress for me. It's kinda raw and incomplete as I'm still experimenting and learning each day as it comes along. So I hope all you guys and gals can bear with me and guide me along too.

Thank you for your patience.

My beloved old car which I missed dearly :(

I bought this car during the peak of my career. It reminded me of my success and who I am - Someone with a certain reputation in life, manage of power, a family man, a hospitable man and one with a passion for cars. It was a very emotional moment for me to let it go, even my 4 year old son misses it especially its moonroof. I was never really a very emo kind of guy but the thought of selling it off still brought back feeelings that I can't hide.
Among all the cars that I have owned, this was the pinnacle of my motoring lifestyle. I have since downgraded and returned back to my motoring roots of owning a Nissan. That was my 1st car that I drove and owned 21 years ago when I 1st got my driving licence. It was a start for my love for driving and motoring. After 3 Nissan Sunnys, a Honda Civic, a Toyota Vios, a Subaru Legacy and a Subaru Exiga GT, I now have my Nissan Sylphy.
Do I still dream of owning a another new car, yes I do and that I believe that this is the passion and desire that will spur me on to the next pinnacle of my life.

This is where I work now - Coastal Breeze Residences

This is the artist impression of how my very 1st condo project will look like once it TOP end of 2011. I would have bought it if things didn't happen so fast in my life recently. Well eventhough I can't fulfill my dream of owning it, now I make it my personal ambition to make other potential buyers' dream of owning it becomes a reality.
